Why lease instead of buying art?
Purchased artwork is a capital acquisition — in New Zealand it generally can't be depreciated, so the spend sits on your balance sheet doing nothing for tax. A lease is a monthly operating expense, typically deductible like your other running costs (confirm the treatment with your accountant), with no capital tied up and a collection that can refresh as your fit-out evolves.
What does the monthly price include?
Everything: commissioning of the originals by professional artists, canvas stretching, delivery within New Zealand, a placement plan, and a refresh option at each renewal. Collections lease from NZ$149/month depending on scale.
Why no frames?
Every piece is gallery-wrapped canvas — the painting continues around clean, deep edges, the way contemporary galleries hang work. It looks sharper in commercial spaces, travels far more safely than framed art, and hangs flush to the wall. If you'd like frames added locally later, any framer can do so.
How does payment work?
You pay 50% of the first year on signing, and the remaining 50% only when the artwork is delivered and installed. From year two the lease renews annually, billed in advance at each completed year. The minimum term is 12 months; at each anniversary you can renew, refresh the collection, or return it.
Who paints the artwork, and who owns it?
Commissioned professional artists paint originals to the exact specifications in your collection — hand-painted works, not prints. The artworks remain the property of the leasing house; that's precisely what keeps them off your balance sheet.
What if I don't like a finished piece?
You receive approval photos of every piece before dispatch, with one round of reasonable revisions per piece included. Nothing ships until you're happy.
Are the visuals what my space will really look like?
The direction previews place each signature piece into your actual photo at true scale and height — what you see is what gets commissioned. The companion pieces are shown as a proportioned collection sheet with exact dimensions listed; approval photos of every finished piece come to you before anything ships.
Is my photo stored or used for training?
Your photo is processed only to produce your curation and is not used to train AI models.
Can I get a refund on curation credits?
If it didn't work for you, email us within 14 days and we'll refund unused credits.
